Black Friday 2024, 2025 and 2026
Black Friday is a shopping observance imported from the United States that traditionally falls on the day after the fourth Thursday of November – the day after American Thanksgiving.

Black Friday has been increasing in visibility in Australia over the last several years, pushing the start of the Christmas holiday shopping season earlier. While this may benefit some retailers and many shoppers, it also has the potential to dampen sales closer to Christmas.
Black Friday sales can sometimes last only for only a single day, however many bricks-and-mortar stores will carry their Black Friday sales across the final weekend of November.
So far, Boxing Day on 26 December is still the premier day of sales in Australia. But Black Friday is slowly catching up with every passing year.
