Note: Northern Territory has a part-day public holiday for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 7 pm to 12 midnight.

Northern Territory public holidays in 2018 are excellent opportunities to get away and explore the many attractions in this wild, wilderness-rich part of the continent.

Some long weekends in 2018 will be as follows: Australia Day’s three-day weekend, as January 26th lands on a Friday in 2018; another three-day weekend when Queen’s Birthday (June 11th) falls on a Monday as usual; and a third long weekend when Picnic Day (August 6th) comes on a Monday.
